Marauders Dominate In Season Opener

San Diego ended Season 2 with a bitter taste in their mouth. 3 points away from the Conference Championship, it was a tough loss to take. The team set a goal to be Championship bound in Season 3, and sent a message to the division in their first game versus the Kalamazoo Wolverines. If yesterday's game is any indication of things to come, then the Marauders should not be overlooked. San Diego was dominate in a 43-14 pounding of Kalamazoo, the offense was clicking on all cylinders. The Marauders defense managed to shut out the Wolverines in the first half and only allowed one touchdown each in the third and fourth quarters.

Offensively QB Jake Obergfell had a tremendous day going 11/15 for 162 yards and 3 touchdowns. His backup Airing It Out looked equally as impressive going 14/18 for 111 yards. On the ground it was the Bo Knowes show. It took just 17 carries for Bo to eclipse the century mark and finish the day with 104 yards rushing. Tommy Brown led the way with 6 receptions and Miniero Joe added 5. Though Sir Mustard Ketchup had only 1 catch, it may have been the play of the day as he burnt the defense for a 48 yard touchdown.

It should also be noted that offensive tackle Hogs Offense had 10 pancakes and that kicker Jared Fritz was 5/5 on field goal attempts. John Stark had an interception for the Marauders and Lester "The Molester" Hayes led the defense with 8 tackles.

Offensive game ball goes to Bo Knowes and the defensive gameball goes to Lester Hayes.
